Dear divers,
we have received several enquiries about the wildfires in Tenerife from guests who are about to visit us. The wildfires are located in the mountains and do not affect the dive excursions and dive courses here in Puerto de la Cruz.
In some bays like in Radazul and Tabaiba, you may find a lot of coal and ashes drifting on the surface of the ocean. When entering the water this looks quite spectacular, but under water everything is clear and nice.
During the nights the winds pushes the smoke often down into the valley. So we are sleeping with closed windows at the moment which is pretty warm in August. But if you have aircondition in your room this should not be of any problem for you.
Visiting of the TEIDE national park is not possible until further notice as all roads to Teide are closed due to the wildfires and the extinguishing work.
We are open and the diving programs are on normal schedule.
We are looking forward to your visit.
