Chimney

Terrain straight down chimney with side exit at the bottom, canyon 20m wide with three huge bridges, dropoff from 20m to 34m

Terrain Canyon with dropoff from 18 to 38m, three archs, biggest 25m wide, cave under reef with 2 entrys from above and one exit into canyon, rocky field home of a lot of moray eels.

Bollullo

Terrain reef consisting of several huge rocks with caverns  inside
Flora & Fauna Rays, Morays, schools of small fish

 

Portillo

Anchor depth aprox. 15 m
Max. depth 38 m
Deco sometimes 1-3 min in 3m
Terrain Horseshoe formed reef with big cave at 33m depth (several entries and exits). Second reef near by with little tunnel at 38m depth. Often current !
Flora & Fauna Yellow corals, groupers, morays, barracudas and a lot of small fishes.

 

Cathedral

Terrain Big canyon with vertical walls, that remind you of a cathedral.
Flora & Fauna Not much fish ! This dive site fascinates by its landscape.

 

Mountain of fishes

Deco often (can be eliminated almost completely by diving at the upper rim of the reef)
Terrain Mountain in the middle of nowhere ! Top platform 8m deep, dropoff to 38 and 46m
Flora & Fauna Schools of small fishes and sardines, schools of jacks, barakudas, groupers, trumpetfishes, tunafish

 

Black Mountain

Deco yes
Terrain Reef in the open sea (unprotected, almost always current), lies in one line with Mountain of fishes but further out, dropoff to 55m, wall of black corals, undercuts
Flora & Fauna Black corals on one certain protected spot. At this depth always big groupers.

 

Airplane wreck DC3 at El Sauzal

Deco Never ! This dive is always limited to a maximum dive time of 20 - 25 min., because there is nothing but the wreck itself to be seen.
Terrain Sand and nothing but the wreck
Flora & Fauna Not much, some small fishes around the wreck and inside

Terrain Giant volcanic tunnel system with undermined sidewalls.

Arena

Terrain Similar to the "Chimney", but the canyon and the bridges are even larger.
Flora & Fauna Not much fish ! This site is impressive by its landscape and rock formations.
