Prerequisites
- PADI OWD or equivalent
- Minimum age 10 years
- For minors a confirmation signature of a parent or tutor is needed upon registration
- Medical certification for scuba diving or medical declaration signed by participant in place
Underwater photography is one of the most popular diving specialties, and the rise of digital underwater photography has made it easier and more fun than ever. This is why there are actually two PADI underwater photography courses. The PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course gets you going quickly with today modern digital equipment, whether you use a point-and-shoot snap camera or a sophisticated D-SLR like the pros.
For Level One, participants learn about the digital revolution, digital cameras , general digital and underwater photography, basic underwater shooting and the PADI SEA Method. During the dive, participants demonstrate proper entry techniques, care for the environment, white balance (if appropriate) and take a variety of horizontal and vertical photos.
For Level Two, participants learn about the digital file formats, image resolution, exposure, composition and basic strobe use. During the dive, participants demonstrate getting proper exposure, contrast, sharpness, color and composition using the PADI SEA Method.
For Level Two, participants must also participate in a Digital Photography Workflow Workshop.
