You did not see Tenerife without having dived here. The underwater world of Tenerife, specially infront of the northern coast of Puerto de la Cruz, is just spectacular. Here you find droppoffs, volcanic caverns, wrecks and an incredible variety of marine life.

News from Tenerife
Boat service finished for Easter season
We are actually servicing our boat! Until the high season during the easter vacation period our dive boat GITANO will be available again.
We always use the winter time during February and March, when the sea conditions here in the north of the island of Tenerife don't allow excursions by boat, to conduct all kind of service work. This year a complete service includinga new paint job on all sides was necessary. Also the wooden benches will be renewed, the anodes have to be replaced and an inspection of our 250HP outboar engine is necessary.
Closed beach - diving not affected
We receive inquiries as to whether diving is still possible in Tenerife, as the beaches are closed! This is wrong and the press has really exaggerated the this. The fact is that only one beach in Puerto de la Cruz is closed, unfortunately the popular "Playa Jardin". A sewage pipe from the nearby district of "Punta Brava" was defective. This has since been repaired, but until the environmental authority gives its approval and the pollution can no longer be detected, the beach will remain closed.
We have never dived from this beach, it is completely unsuitable for diving. Therefore, this closure does not affect the operation of the Dive Centre ATLANTIK in any way. Our dive sites are much further out from the boat and there are no problems there, just clear water.
Dive Center ATLANTIK rescues sea turtle
On Saturday 15.06.2024 we encountered a sea turtle fighting for survival on the surface at dive site "SEMIRAMIS" off the coast of Puerto de la Cruz in Tenerife. The animal has been completely entangled in plastic and was about to drown. Thanks to the courageous intervention of our crew the turtle was freed and immediately swam away happily.
We are pleased that we were able to help immediately. If you would like to help also, as a licensed diver you are welcome to take part in the underwater cleaning campaigns that we organize once a year in and around the harbor of Puerto de la Cruz. But also on all other dives we conduct, we frequently remove plastic, cans, bottles and other garbage underwater when we discover something.
